The original pattern for this puzzle had tiny keys that did not lock
well. I modified the keys to make them lock together well and have
different shapes.
It a very simple three-piece puzzle for small children. The pieces are quite large and the interlocking keys are all different shapes. The puzzle is very easy to put together. It is free-standing and can be used for nursery decor. The bear puzzle has been carefully sanded smooth and finished with butcher block finish made from food-grade mineral oil, beeswax, and vitamin E. All not toxic. Custom orders are welcome.
A handmade wooden bear puzzle suitable for small children. I designed the puzzle to make the interlocking keys are more suitable for younger children. The keys have distinct shapes that are much easier for them to recognize.
Playing with puzzles develops hand-eye coordination, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, shape recognition, memory, problem-solving, goal setting, and patience. All of these skills are gateways into higher-level skills. This puzzle is a beginner level puzzle designed to get a child started.

Custom orders are welcome. I can make these in almost any size you require. I make toys from most domestic hardwoods and MDF. Other non-toxic finishes are available, including paint. Painting one side of the puzzle makes it much easier to assemble.
