I made the first of these dragons as an experiment to see how small I could cut a dragon and still be usable for something. As a toymaker, I always have small bits of wood around that need to be saved from the kindling bucket. I had the idea that it would make an excellent Christmas ornament and fashioned a hanger to try. Much to my surprise, it was a big hit. Everyone who saw it wanted one.
