I love hot rods. I would love to build my own, but I don't have the time or money. I'll have to be content with making toys like this simplified version of a 1927 Ford T-Coupe and attending an occasional car show. I have many more Hot Rods available in my Etsy shop. In various colors and models. If you don't see what you want, custom orders are welcome. I can make this toy car any color or size you might want.

This handmade wooden toy car for adults or kids is durable and made for play but nice enough for any decor. I made this Hot Rod in my toymakers shop using traditional woodworking tools. The toy car's body and wheels are finished with amber shellac. All of the black trim is acrylic paint.

I make every effort to make sure my toys perform well. I carefully test each toy before it is put up for sale. My toys are made for play.

I make items by hand from natural wood and wood products. They can differ from one piece to the next. The one you receive may be slightly different from the item in the listing photos. Wood thickness may vary slightly from the stated size.

Not for children under three years old or kids that are still chewing things. If the toy breaks, small parts may present a choking hazard. Small children should not play with this toy without adult supervision.

Unfortunately, he started playing with them before I had the chance to take photos. All the parts for the truck, except for the wheels, can be made from wood purchased at a big box store. I used a scroll saw to cut the body from a 2x4 section, but a piece of 2x6 would be easier. I had to reduce the body size to avoid the rounded corners on the 2x4. I also had to adjust the sides of the bed to clear the wheels. The toy truck is not detailed, but the simple design makes it easier to create than more complex toys.
