Handmade Wood Blue Farm Boy and Girl Figurines

A handmade, handpainted pair of farm kids dressed in blue with their yellow straw hats. These resemble the Little Ditch Boy & Girl pattern found on many handmade quilts.

These are more than 20 years old and have been in storage unused. I made them in the late 80s to early 90s. I am not sure of the date since I never bothered to mark them. Some show a bit of wear from being stored loose in a box. Other than that, they look pretty much the same as when I put them away.

What can we do with these little people?

You can do pretty much the same things as you would use peg people. Home decoration comes to mind. We have some of these in a shadow box in our home. They would be good as toys for children older than three. Maybe, the perfect cake topper. On the right cake, these would look great.

You could easily convert these into Christmas tree ornaments by drilling a small hole in the top and gluing in a wire loop for a hanger.
