This sturdy little wooden monster truck was handcrafted in my toymaker’s shop using traditional woodworking methods and tools. Every curve and detail is handcrafted from premium-grade hardwoods: rich oak, poplar, and birch.

The chunky wheels are finished with a durable, non-marring amber shellac that protects the wood while allowing the beautiful grain to shine through. The body features a thick, smooth satin polyurethane finish that’s built to handle plenty of rough-and-tumble play. The wheel hubs are accented with a fun touch of metallic purple acrylic paint for extra personality.

 I handcraft each Itty Bitty Animal using traditional woodworking tools. Each turtle is unfinished wood, sanded smooth, and ready to paint. The freestanding design works well for stacking, play, or crafts.

This turtle is exceptionally durable and will last for generations. The first ones, crafted forty years ago, are still in use by my grandchildren.
