I handmade this wood toy Whale in my Toymakers Shop using traditional woodworking tools. The whale toys are made from unfinished wood and sanded smooth, making them ready to paint. The whale is free-standing and makes a great stacking toy when combined with other similar toys. All of the materials I use in making my toys are nontoxic. Pricing is for one animal.

My grandson has many small animal cutouts he loves to stack in many different ways. I think he plays with them more than any other toy I have made for him.

I make these from small cutoffs left over from other projects. The dimensions will vary slightly from those listed above. The type of wood may also be different and depends on my available materials. If you want a specific type of wood, don't hesitate to contact me to set up a custom order.

I use traditional woodworking tools to make this Nautical Animal Puzzle from select grade hardwoods in my Toymaker's Shop. I carefully sand all the parts smooth removing any sharp edges. The puzzle is finished with a blend of USP Grade Mineral Oil, Beeswax, and carnauba wax that I apply hot to get deep penetration. The puzzle is freestanding and can sit easily on a shelf, window sill, or 3/4-inch or wider door frame. The individual parts make good pretend toys.
