Handmade Wood Toy Car 1957 VW Bug From the Play Pal Series

From OdinsToyFactory we have a unique wood toy car based on the classic 1957 Bug. Because of the color and patterns in the wood, this little car is unique. The body is made from three pieces of wood. One oak and pieces of poplar that form a stripe. The finish is durable polyethylene. I have many other toys to choose form in my shop and custom orders are always welcome.

A small handmade wooden toy car handmade from laminated Poplar and Oak hardwoods. The clear polyurethane finish very durable and allows the unique colors and grain of the wood to show through.

I make items by hand from natural wood and wood products. They can differ from one piece to the next. The one you receive may be slightly different from the item in the listing photos. Wood thickness may vary slightly from the stated size.

Not for children under three years old or kids that are still chewing things. If the toy breaks, small parts may present a choking hazard. Small children should not play with this toy without adult supervision.

Etsy Package Insurance Why I Don't Use It

I don't buy insurance. I did a little math, read the fine print, and decided that it wasn't worth the cost.

If USPS says it was delivered, you will not get paid for lost packages.

The thing that got me was the requirement of two inches of padding almost triples the shipping cost. Larger boxes and more packing material push the weight well over 16 ounces, so I can't ship first class anymore. It probably means a few fewer sales too. Now the boxes don't fit in my mailbox, and I either need to arrange for pickup or take them to the post office myself. USPS will pick them up, but I have to add more shipping time because I have to arrange for pickup the day before. A lot of orders come in after midnight. I ship with Etsy shipping, and the insurance is a third-party provider. That means there will be three people in a fight over a claim. USPS, me, and the insurance company.

I plan to pack everything well and issue a refund or reship if there is a problem. So far, I haven't had to do either. I figure I have saved somewhere close to $600.00 so far.

A cute 3-piece bunny puzzle for small kids just getting into puzzles. I cut and hand-fitted the large pieces lose enough for young hands to assemble without much effort. A child can easily distinguish the different key shapes. I can make puzzles or cutouts in other sizes. Custom orders are welcome.

With only three-parts, this bunny puzzle is easy to put together. The pieces are large and interlock well with each other. The rabbit is free standing. Playing with puzzles develops hand-eye coordination, gross motor, fine motor, shape recognition, memory, problem-solving, goal setting, patience, and social skills. This puzzle is a beginner level puzzle designed for a toddlers.

This puzzle was hand-cut by me with my scroll saw. I carefully sanded it smooth and finished it with child-safe mineral oil.
