Here is a cute handcrafted toy made from wood I made in my toymakers shop using traditional woodworking tools and materials. I sand the car smooth and round over all of the edges and finish the car body with a finish I make from wax and mineral oil. The same finish you would use on your cutting board or butcher block countertop. All of the materials I use in making my toys are nontoxic.

I made this Jack-o-Lantern cutout from MDF in my shop using traditional tools. The Jack-o-Lantern is free standing and will sit easily on a windowsill, shelf, or door frame. This cutout has been lightly sanded and is ready to paint.

I made the first batch of these for my grandson, Odin, who is crazy about anything Halloween-related. He loved them. They are great Halloween decorations, but for my grandson, they are toys. He builds haunted houses from blocks and uses them as scary occupants.
