I made this toy car in my toymaker's shop using traditional woodworking tools from pine and birch hardwood. I sanded the car smooth and round over all of the edges. I finish the car body with a custom blend of beeswax and mineral oil I make myself.

Each toy is carefully assembled and tested. My toys are of the highest quality I can make. Sometimes, I reject as many as 20% at some point in the build process for defects. Quality assurance happens at all build stages, so very few completed toys have issues. The few completed toys that have a problem are fixed or rejected. All of the materials used in making my toys are nontoxic.

A handmade, unfinished 3/4-inch thick Halloween Witch on a Broom I cut by hand on a scroll saw. It has been lightly sanded with 220 grit sandpaper and is ready to be painted. Unlike many thinner cutouts, these are freestanding and make good pretend toys. They will sit comfortably on a door frame, window sill, shelf, or ledge. They look great when backlighting with an LED Tea Light.

I made the first batch of these for my grandson, Odin. He is crazy about anything Halloween-related. Of course, they are Halloween decorations, but for my grandson, they are toys. He builds haunted houses from blocks and uses them as scary occupants.

My grandson has a lot of these small animal cutouts he loves to stack in many different ways. I think he plays with them more than any other toy I have made for him.
