Wood Toy Car, Hot Rod 1932 Deuce Coupe, Handmade and Finished with Amber Shellac and Red and Black Acrylic Paint 555549563

While I'm not a fan of the red hubs I have a customer who is. I was experimenting with clear coatings on the acrylic paint and tried some on the flat red hubs the clear/blonde shellac really made the red color pop. After that I really had to see how they looked on the Hot Rod Deuce Coupe. It turned out quite well in a subdued sor of way. There will be more of these in the future.

I make this wooden toy car in my shop using traditional woodworking tools and hand-finish it with amber shellac and red and black acrylic paint. All of the materials I use to make my toy are nontoxic.

But Now I've made a lot of these little wooden toy trucks. Each one is carefully cut on my scroll saw and hand-sanded until they are smooth to the touch.
