Getting wood dinosaurs or other animals that stand on two legs to stand correctly is a bit of a trick. Wood being a natural material, every piece is different. The balance points point changes with each toy I build. The first thing is to get the feet even so they sit flat on the table. Once they are flat and the glue is cured, I test them to see for stability. If T-rex isn't stable, I carefully sand the bottom of the feet at a slight angle to change the balance (center of gravity?) point slightly. This process is repeated until I get the results I want.

I make these from select grade hardwoods in my Toymaker's Shop using traditional hand tools. They are made from select grade hardwoods, sanded smooth, and finished with a blend of USP grade mineral oil and beeswax I make in my shop. Wood is a natural material, and the color will vary from the photos. The type of wood used will vary with availability. If you want a specific wood, please get in touch with me and place a special order, and I will do my best to accommodate you. I made the dinosaur currently pictured from poplar.

I can produce these in quantity if you require by custom order.

I make items by hand from natural wood and wood products. They can differ from one piece to the next. The one you receive may be slightly different from the item in the listing photos. Wood thickness may vary slightly from the stated size.

Not for children under three years old or kids that are still chewing things. If the toy breaks, small parts may present a choking hazard. Small children should not play with this toy without adult supervision.

Unfortunately, he started playing with them before I had the chance to take photos. All the parts for the truck, except for the wheels, can be made from wood purchased at a big box store. I used a scroll saw to cut the body from a 2x4 section, but a piece of 2x6 would be easier. I had to reduce the body size to avoid the rounded corners on the 2x4.
