This toy car is a little bit more of a rustic style without being rough. I hand-finished it with amber shellac and painted the hubs with red acrylic paint. Made from pine, it is lightweight. I made the body from a pine 2x4.

I hand make this toy car from wood in my Toymakers Shop using traditional woodworking tools and finish it with shellac and a bit of acrylic paint.

I make every effort to make sure my toys perform well. I carefully test each toy before it is put up for sale.

I make items by hand from natural wood and wood products. They can differ from one piece to the next. The one you receive may be slightly different from the item in the listing photos. Wood thickness may vary slightly from the stated size.

Not for children under three years old or kids that are still chewing things. If the toy breaks, small parts may present a choking hazard. Small children should not play with this toy without adult supervision.

Unfortunately, he started playing with them before I had the chance to take photos. All the parts for the truck, except for the wheels, can be made from wood purchased at a big box store. I used a scroll saw to cut the body from a 2x4 section, but a piece of 2x6 would be easier. I had to reduce the body size to avoid the rounded corners on the 2x4. I also had to adjust the sides of the bed to clear the wheels. The toy truck is not detailed, but the simple design makes it easier to create than more complex toys.
