Crafting Timeless Treasures: The Art of Handmade Wooden Giraffe Cutouts

For years, I’ve been transforming small scraps of wood into whimsical treasures in my toymaker’s shop. The result is a sturdy, freestanding giraffe, approximately 3-3/4 inches tall, 2-1/8 inches long, and 3/4 inch thick (though dimensions may vary slightly). The wood type and color depend on what I have on hand; pine, oak, or poplar are typically available. This variability ensures every piece is unique, with its natural grain and character.

Each giraffe is at least 1/2 inch thick, making it perfect for small hands to grasp and stack. Whether used as a standalone toy or paired with other animals from the Itty Bitty Animal Collection, these giraffes encourage creativity and open-ended play.
