The animals in my Itty Bitty Animal Collection are available in many sizes and large quantities. With a custom order, you can mix and match animals from the entire collection, or I can make animal cutouts from drawings or patterns you provide. Custom orders are welcome.

I made the first Itty Bitty Animal more than 40 years ago. The kids loved them. Today, they are family heirlooms that my grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews play with.

My Puzzle Collection

This puzzle is handcrafted using traditional woodworking tools and techniques in my toymaker's shop. The result is a smooth, hand-sanded, finished product that provides a simple puzzle and individual playthings.

The puzzle pieces are designed to be multi-functional. Each can be used as a separate toy, adding to its versatility and play value. The freestanding design allows each piece to be used as a standalone toy.

The stackable animal pieces can also be used as a stacking toy. The puzzle includes a giraffe family, a baby hippopotamus, a baby elephant, a male lion, and a bird, all designed to work with similar wooden animals in the shop.

Still Cutting Out Little Animals After Forty Years

In the mid-1980s, I bought my first scroll saw and learned to use it by making toy animal cutouts from pallet wood. Forty years later, I still use a scroll saw to cut small animals out of wood. I am crafting elephants from Padauk wood instead of pallet wood this time. In this batch, there are over 300 elephants, which will eventually be turned into ornaments.

I made several of the elephant puzzles and a bucket full of animal cutouts. I learned to use my AMT scroll saw, cutting out animal shapes. These are still in use today. Wood toys can last a long time.

A wood toy baby elephant made from unfinished wood sanded smooth and ready to paint. The elephant is free-standing and makes a great stacking toy when combined with other similar toys.

My grandson has a lot of these small animal cutouts he loves to stack in many different ways. I think he plays with them more than any other toy I have made for him.
