I handcrafted these farm children, dressed in blue with yellow straw hats, in my toymaker's shop using traditional woodworking tools. Each figure is meticulously hand-painted and inspired by the Little Dutch Boy and Girl pattern, commonly seen on handmade quilts.
These small figures are wonderfully versatile and can be used for many of the same purposes as traditional peg dolls. They make charming home decorations and look delightful when displayed on a shelf, windowsill, mantel, or in a shadow box. Beyond decoration, they serve as playful toys for children.
