Wooden toy minivan finished with shellac and metallic blue acrylic paint. The body is made from a single block of pinewood I cut with my scroll saw. I sand it smooth and apply multiple coats of clear shellac sanding between coats until it is smooth. The glossy surface is buffed with a red 3M buffing pad to give the toy a smooth satin finish. The wheels are hand finished with amber shellac and the hubs with metallic blue acrylic paint. I made this one from 100% solid wood, child-safe acrylic paints, and Amber shellac.
