Handmade Wooden Toy Minivan from the Play Pal Series Finished With Nontoxic Clear Shellac and Metallic Blue Acrylic



Wooden toy minivan finished with shellac and metallic blue acrylic paint. The body is made from a single block of pinewood I cut with my scroll saw. I sand it smooth and apply multiple coats of clear shellac sanding between coats until it is smooth. The glossy surface is buffed with a red 3M buffing pad to give the toy a smooth satin finish. The wheels are hand finished with amber shellac and the hubs with metallic blue acrylic paint.

This wooden toy minivan is a cute gift suitable for boys and girls. The van can be used as home, office, kids room, or nursery decor; it's the perfect size for a cake topper or other decoration. You can easily convert this toy into Christmas Ornament for that vintage Christmas look or use it with other small wooden toys to make a nursery mobile. It's the perfect size to use as a stocking stuffer or party favor. Several trucks and or cars in rainbow colors would make an excellent mobile.

These toys are sturdy, durable, and built to withstand a little boy's play. The small size easy for small hands to carry with them or to keep in a busy bag. This toy truck Fits Hot Wheels or BluTrack for drag racing. It probably will not win any races, but you never know.

I make every effort to make sure my toys perform well. The axles are sanded smooth, and nylon washers are inserted between the wheels and the body to ensure the toy rolls smoothly, and the wheels do not rub against the car body. I carefully test each toy before it listed in my store.

Unfortunately, he started playing with them before I had the chance to take photos. All the parts for the truck, except for the wheels, can be made from wood purchased at a big box store.
