Handmade To Car Play Pal Bat Car With Pink Wheels and Amber Shellsc Body 573909473

Buy Now https://www.etsy.com/listing/573909473/ I made the wheels for this Play Pal Bat car, experimenting with colors and clear shellac. The pink wheels popped when I applied the clear shellac. They looked so good that I just had to put them on something to see how they would look. These are not traditional batmobile black, but that didn't seem to matter much; the toy car sold within a few days of posting it to Etsy. While I was reviewing past sales and calculating individual listings conversion rates, I came across this one with an excellent conversion rate without ever being promoted in any way. I decided it needed a second chance and relisted it as a "Made To Order" item. I'm going to do some promotion and see what happens. These photos were taken with a Nikon 5700 camera that I purchased used for $25. #odinstoyfactory #handmade #woodtoys #madeinusa #madeinamerica #gift #birthday #christmas #stockingstuffer #boys #girls #batmobile

New Etsy Listing - Handmade Wooden Toy Car, Hot Rod 1927 T-Bucket From the Hot Rod Freaky Ford Series

Handmade Wooden Toy Car, Hot Rod 1927 T-Bucket From the Hot Rod Freaky Ford Series Pink This one had a small problem. The hole for the peg doll wasn't drilled deep enough. I carefully set up my drill press and bit to extend the depth of the hole and added about 1/4-inch. The result was not what I was expecting. Either the bit was too small, or something was misaligned. The peg doll got stuck in the hole when I tested it. After trying several different tools sanding, I finally wound up using a diamond burr mounted in a rotary tool to enlarge the hole.

Glidden Oops Paint Test On A Wooden Toy Play Pal Trailer Truck

2017-05-08 18.44.30 - Wooden Toy - Play Pal - Trailer - Truck - Pink - Glidden - Paint I sometimes see sample jars of Glidden Oops paint at my local Home Depot.  I only have 3 cans of it on hand. This was a lighter pink than the Behr I have been using and I wasn't expecting it to cover as well as it did. The trailer in the photo has one coat of paint on bare wood.  It needs  second coat but that will do it. Sometimes when you buy oops paint the color on the out side of the can doesn't quite match the actual paint color. I think they just don't bother to mix it well before they paint the outside of the can. This was one of those. It was much lighter after it was thoroughly mixed. I added Flowtrol to this can of paint to help it flow out better. I add about 1 tablespoon or so unmeasured. I just pour what looks like a good amount and  mix it up. I always mark the can so I'll know if I have added it. This trailer is designed so a standard Play Pall toy car, truc...
