I made the wheels for this Play Pal Bat car, experimenting with colors and clear shellac. The pink wheels popped when I applied the clear shellac. They looked so good that I just had to put them on something to see how they would look.

These are not traditional batmobile black, but that didn't seem to matter much; the toy car sold within a few days of posting it to Etsy.

While I was reviewing past sales and calculating individual listings conversion rates, I came across this one with an excellent conversion rate without ever being promoted in any way. I decided it needed a second chance and relisted it as a "Made To Order" item. I'm going to do some promotion and see what happens.

These photos were taken with a Nikon 5700 camera that I purchased used for $25.

Unfortunately, he started playing with them before I had the chance to take photos. All the parts for the truck, except for the wheels, can be made from wood purchased at a big box store. I used a scroll saw to cut the body from a 2x4 section, but a piece of 2x6 would be easier. I had to reduce the body size to avoid the rounded corners on the 2x4. I also had to adjust the sides of the bed to clear the wheels. The toy truck is not detailed, but the simple design makes it easier to create than more complex toys.
