The animals in my Itty Bitty Animal Collection are available in many sizes and large quantities. With a custom order, you can mix and match animals from the entire collection, or I can make animal cutouts from drawings or patterns you provide. Custom orders are welcome.

I made the first Itty Bitty Animal more than 40 years ago. The kids loved them. Today, they are family heirlooms that my grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews play with.

Using traditional woodworking tools, I made a wood toy rooster blank cutout in my toymaker's shop from unfinished wood. It is sanded and ready to paint. The toy is free-standing and makes a great stacking or pretend toy when combined with other similar toys.

My grandson has many small animal cutouts he loves to stack in many different ways. I think he plays with them more than any other toy I have made for him.

I make small animals from wood cutoffs I have left from other projects. Because of this, the thickness will vary but never less than 1/2-inch. The type of wood and thus the color will vary if you want a particular type of wood, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Bandsaw Rooster/Chicken Cut With My Shopsmith Bandsaw Equipped With Carter Guide

I have a Shopsmith bandsaw with Carter Guide (Shopsmith-SHS1) installed. I have had the Carter Guide installed for a while. I Played with it a lot to see what it could do and made a few somewhat simple projects. I have a project planned where I will be cutting some complex reindeer from a 4x4, and I wanted to see just how hard this would be before I decided to accept the commission.

I wanted to see how complicated a cut I could make with this guide and a 1/8-inch blade. I hunted for the most complex 3D pattern I could find and came up with this chicken.

The chicken is cut from a piece of construction-grade 2x4. Not once did I back up or cut any clearance to turn the blade.

Cutting the chicken's wide side was slow, partly due to the fine blade and my inexperience with this sort of cut. It worked quite well. Now I have to glue up some 4x4 blocks and try a reindeer.
