A handmade, unfinished 3/4-inch thick Halloween Spider cut by hand on a scroll saw. It has been lightly sanded with 220 grit sandpaper and is ready to be painted. Use as is or paint them. The kids always like the colors. Unlike many thin laser cutouts, these are freestanding and make good pretend toys.

I made the first batch of these for my grandson, Odin. He is crazy about anything Halloween-related. Of course, they are Halloween decorations, but for my grandson, they are toys. He builds haunted houses from blocks and uses them as scary occupants.

Not for children under three years old or kids that are still chewing things. If the toy breaks, small parts may present a choking hazard. Small children should not play with this toy without adult supervision.

Unfortunately, he started playing with them before I had the chance to take photos. All the parts for the truck, except for the wheels, can be made from wood purchased at a big box store. I used a scroll saw to cut the body from a 2x4 section, but a piece of 2x6 would be easier. I had to reduce the body size to avoid the rounded corners on the 2x4.
