Wood Toy Car, Hot Rod '27 T-Coupe, Handmade and Finished with Amber Shellac with Black Acrylic Paint

I love hot rods. I would love to build my own, but I don't have the time or money. I'll have to be content with making toys like this simplified version of a 1927 Ford T-Coupe and attending an occasional car show. I have many more Hot Rods available in my Etsy shop. In various colors and models. If you don't see what you want, custom orders are welcome. I can make this toy car any color or size you might want.

This handmade wooden toy car for adults or kids is durable and made for play but nice enough for any decor. I made this Hot Rod in my toymakers shop using traditional woodworking tools. The toy car's body and wheels are finished with amber shellac. All of the black trim is acrylic paint.

I make every effort to make sure my toys perform well. I carefully test each toy before it is put up for sale. My toys are made for play.

I much prefer MDF for cutouts. In many cases, it MDF stronger than the lower cost woods. If you are going to paint the cutout, MDF takes paint very well. Unless you want the wood grain look, MDF is one of the best options.

I can make these any size you need, and painting is available with a custom order.

A handmade wood Ghost cutout. Use for making Halloween ornaments, mobiles, toys, and other decorations. The 3/4-inch thick Halloween Ghost cut by hand on a scroll saw. It has been lightly sanded with 220 grit sandpaper and is ready to be painted. Unlike many thin cutouts, these are 3/4-inch thick and free freestanding. They make good pretend toys make good pretend toys.

I made this toy truck using traditional woodworking tools in my toymaker's shop. It was carefully sanded and finished with hand-rubbed amber shellac and Metallic Sapphire Blue acrylic paint.

Each toy is carefully assembled and tested. My toys are of the highest quality I can make. Sometimes, I reject as many as 20% at some point in the build process for defects. Quality assurance happens at all build stages, so very few completed toys have issues. The few completed toys that have a problem are fixed or rejected. All of the materials used in making my toys are nontoxic.

My grandson has many versions of this toy truck. He has been playing with them for over three years. They are still going strong, outlasting many factory-made plastic toys.
