A wood toy cutout I made from unfinished wood sanded smooth and ready to paint. The toy is free-standing and makes a great stacking toy when combined with other similar toys.

My grandson has a lot of these small animal cutouts he loves to stack in many different ways. I think he plays with them more than any other toy I have made for him.

I made an unfinished 3/4-inch thick Halloween Ghost in my shop using traditional woodworking tools. It has been lightly sanded with 220 grit sandpaper and is ready to be painted. Unlike many thinner cutouts, these are freestanding and make good pretend toys.

This one is made from MDF. MDF Paints well, but if you prefer solid wood or plywood, please let me know.

I made the first batch of these for my grandson, Odin. He is crazy about anything Halloween-related. They are great Halloween decorations, but for my grandson, they are toys. He builds haunted houses from blocks and uses them for occupants.
