Handmade Wood Nautical Animal Stacking Puzzle, Whale, Crabs, Octopus, and Fish Buy Now: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1188771640/ I use traditional woodworking tools to make this Nautical Animal Puzzle from select grade hardwoods in my Toymaker's Shop. I carefully sand all the parts smooth removing any sharp edges. The puzzle is finished with a blend of USP Grade Mineral Oil, Beeswax, and carnauba wax that I apply hot to get deep penetration. The puzzle is freestanding and can sit easily on a shelf, window sill, or 3/4-inch or wider door frame. The individual parts make good pretend toys. Between custom orders and items selling out, it's taking me a while to get this project done. There are 25 animal family puzzles in this project. If I am counting right in my head, I have cut 22 of them. Two of the remaining puzzles need larger pieces of wood that I don't yet have on hand.  Puzzles need some light sanding to remove the fuzzies. After sanding, I plan to finish these with a shop-made blend of mineral oil sand waxes. After that, they have to be photographed, listings created in Etsy, and I tell people they are available via social media.
