I don't have a noncopyrighted Etsy photo to add to this post, so here is a spider puzzle almost completed and will be added to my Etsy shop soon. Since there is no way to know that the sales from the Etsy ads are not sales, I would have got it anyway. I see no benefit to turning it on. Less than 28% of my shop views come from Etsy.  I had the ads turned on for a while. I lost money. For example, customers would buy a $30 item and a $6 item. The $6 item was essentially free. But it gets worse. Most of my items ship USPS First Class Mail, If someone buys two items and the weight goes over 16 ounces, I have to ship USPS Priority Mail. I usually don't make this many in a batch, but the wood I am using to make these usually yields poorly. I expect to have up to 50% of the birds wind up as designer kindling due to defects that I can't detect until the turkey is cut. Much to my surprise, this time, every one of them made it to the final cut. Initially, the turkeys were a custom order used for kids to make Thanksgiving decor for their parents.   Wood Dragon Body With A Broken Neck From Drilling Etsy Listing https://www.etsy.com/listing/980709962/ Dragons https://www.etsy.com/shop/odinstoyfactory?search_query=Dragons I usually drill all my holes before I cut out the parts, but this time, I had packed the patterns tight, and I decided to cut the dragon pard first and then drill the holes. After all, it is hardwood and much stronger than pine. Not drilling the holes first was a mistake. While drilling the largest hole, the drill bit caught for just a second and broke the dragon's neck. I will not be doing that again. Fortunately, I was making more than one this time and did not need to start over. I lost the time sent making that one body plus the cost of the wood.  All the parts for one wood dragon.
