Building the cars in this series presented me with some challenges. The primary challenge was getting the holes drilled in the correct locations for the head and tail lights. Using my Shopsmith in its horizontal mode was a great help in doing this. Hopefully, I'll get around to posting the photos I took when I did it in a future blog post.

Part 2 of a two-part post featuring all the white background photos of my Green and yellow coupe from the Bad Bob's custom motors series.

I handcrafted this wooden toy car from wood in my Toymaker's Shop using traditional woodworking tools and carefully hand-painted with several coats of green and yellow acrylic paint and a top coat of clear acrylic to produce a glossy finish. The wheels are hand-finished with amber shellac. These cars are a unique gift for any special occasion.

Not for children under three years old or kids that are still chewing things. If the toy breaks, small parts may present a choking hazard. Small children should not play with this toy without adult supervision.

Unfortunately, he started playing with them before I had the chance to take photos. All the parts for the truck, except for the wheels, can be made from wood purchased at a big box store. I used a scroll saw to cut the body from a 2x4 section, but a piece of 2x6 would be easier. I had to reduce the body size to avoid the rounded corners on the 2x4. I also had to adjust the sides of the bed to clear the wheels. The toy truck is not detailed, but the simple design makes it easier to create than more complex toys.
