I had some gray paint and decided to give it a try to see how I liked them. I think the gray works good with the shellac. This car also has a knot. It's not very noticeable and I've been told there are some people that consider knots a feature. Knots can be hard to deal with so I usually try to avoid them. However, knot on the toy car didn't cause any problems at all. Amber shellac is a good finish to use when leaving knots. It will seal them and sticks well.
